Hello Box Elder Bees, Parents, and Guardians,
We are excited for the 2022-23 school year. The first item we want to share with you is about class changes. Students can start making class changes themselves on August 16th. If they need help, they can sign up for one of the class change labs through Sign-Up Genius, we will have a link on the school website. (the link won't be up until closer to the 16th). Counselors will not be back in the building until August. They will be happy to help you and answer any questions when they return from summer break. Here is a calendar of class change events.
Aug 16- Class Change Window Opens @ 8:00 am. Lab 8-11 am & 12-3 pm
Aug 17- Beehive Bash 5-7pm. Counselors available to help with class changes. Sign up through the link. Walks-ins upon availability. Link will be posted closer to the date.
Aug 23- Class Change Lab ALL DAY (8-11 & 12-3)
Aug 24- Class Change Lab ALL DAY (8-11 & 12-3)
Aug 26- Class Changes 12-3:00 pm. Window CLOSES @ 3:00 pm for students to make their own class changes.
We also want to share with you our bell schedule for the upcoming year. We have changed our intervention time. We feel teachers can be more efficient working with students at the end of the class period rather than having them come back during Bee Time. We will have HIVE Intervention Time on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students will not be dismissed from their classes during HIVE Time. They will just shift to interventions during the class period, as needed. This will help ensure students have time to work with each teacher. We feel this will help ensure students are receiving the time and support they need to be successful in their courses. A pdf has also been attached to this message.
