Dear Parents or Guardians,

This is an update with our on-line scheduling. We had every intention to allow students to build their final schedule in April. We met several obstacles that did not allow us to do that. First, the state indicated there would be updates to streamline the scheduling process. Their updates were not completed.

Secondly, we have had 11 teachers leave our school this year. The state requires that we have teachers employed teaching in their content area. We have had difficulty in finding replacements for several positions, and as a result, this has pushed our scheduling time line back so students will not be able to build their own schedules. Schedules have been run by the computer from their requested courses they selected earlier. However, students will be able to do some class changes. Here is the time frame for class changes:

Seniors: May 16th @ 11:30 am – May 19th until 3:00 pm
Juniors: May 18th @ 8:00 am – May 19th until 3:00 pm

Sorry for any inconvenience,
BEHS Administration

  NEW Civics Test Graduation Requirement

Beginning with the Class of 2016, all students must pass the basic civics test to graduate from high school (see the American Civics Education Initiative, S.B.60, Utah Legislative Session 2015.) The civics test is untimed and can be repeated.

The test is available through through the student's PASSPORT portal. A score of 70% is required. Proof of test completion will be recorded on the BESD student grade portal. Additional civics test information and test preparation materials can be found here and here.

Parents, please click here to access PASSPORT. This is our parent secured access system to allow parents and students to access grades, attendance, lunch balances etc. with a single secured login. Parents and students are able to maintain their own logins similar to other commonly used websites.

Do you want to know what is happening at our school? All of the above activities are described in more detail in the BEELINE Newsletter. Subscribe to the official school newsletter, the Beeline, here.
